A recipe for this dish was first published by Magdalena Pleiweis in 1868 in the first copyrighted cookbook in the Slovenian language. It is also known as the first dish to be named according to its geographical origin. The recipe for this dish is also found in subsequent reprints and amended editions of that cookbook by Felicita Kalinšek.
