In the summer months of 2006 research was performed among golfers on Slovenian golf courses, namely among Slovenian and foreign golfers. The research was performed by way of a field questionnaire. Its purpose was to analyse the socio-demographic characteristics of golfers on Slovenian golf courses, factors of influence and satisfaction during their visit, characteristics of visits at different golf courses and characteristics of arrival and accommodation of foreign golfers. The results of the research will form the basis for planning further strategic documents from the field of tourism and for preparation of suitable measures and marketing activities for use by the STB and other tourist organisations on the national as well as the local level. However, the report will certainly interest all those whose main target group is the golfer as the results in the report will assist in designing suitable offers for the target guest.
