Tourism Confidence Index Survey

5 March 2008
The Tourism Confidence Index is calculated based on the results of an electronic survey, which is conducted by the Institute for Tourism of the Faculty of Economics (ITEF) at the University of Ljubljana, and involves a selection of tourism experts from both the public and the private tourism sector. The survey was introduced at the end of 2007. It is repeated every four months in order to keep track of short-term prospects and performance of the tourism sector.

First results revealed that Slovenian tourism generated above-average results in 2007, and the outlook for 2008 is equally bright, a panel of tourism experts announced.
