Gora is characterised by dispersed settlement. Houses typical of the woods of Trnovski gozd area feature a small sinkhole field and property which is separated by way of stone fences. The splendid nature never stops fascinating you: caves, sinkholes, carrens, grooves, petrified corals in grey limestone form, heterogeneous flora and fauna as well as one of the greatest natural phenomena of Gora – a natural stone coral arch. Take a look at the Vipava Valley through the natural window of Otliško okno, a big natural opening at the edge of the plateau.

When passing through the landscape, your attention will be captured by the unforgettable view over the valley and sea in the distance. Find out why the settlements of Kitajska (China) and Sibirija (Siberia) bear such telling names. Also, discover why the Angel Mountain has been named after angels.
