On the ancient shepherd trail to mountain pastures.

Access and starting point:
From East Slovenia via Road 414 to Kamnik or via Road 225 to Stahovica to the road turning for Kamniška Bistrica. From central Slovenia, via Road 10 to Domžale and then to Kamnik. From Kamnik via Road 225 to Stahovica and 200 m down the road for Kamniška Bistrica, where there is a parking lot by the Calcit factory; there is also some parking space by the road itself.

Description:
We walk from Stahovica towards Gornji Grad for about 100m and then turn left to the marked path.Then, past the Church of St.Primus (Sv.Primož), we first ascend the Mala planina alp and then theVelika planina alp. The highest mountain on the wide plain is Gradišče (1666 m). We go past the pasture to the upper cable railway stop and can use the cable car to return picturesquely to the valley. Alternatively, we can walk to the bottom cable railway stop down the marked path over the Konjščica and Dol alps, which takes about two hours. From the bottom stop of the cable railway, we can reach the starting point either by bus or by walking to the other side of the Kamniška Bistrica river; keeping to the left side is a marked path towards Stahovica. As we reach a quarry further down the path, we cross the river to the road and continue down the road for another 2 km to the starting point.
