The valley from the source of the Soča River towards Bavški Grintovec.

Zapoden is the valley of the Suhi potok stream.

At the beginning of the valley, there is the Zapotok Waterfall, whose intermittent waters appear only close by their outflow into the Soča.

It is quite a wide, grassy valley that has been becoming overgrown recently. 

It is surrounded by the peaks of:
- Trentarski Pelc,
- Srebrnjak,
- Bavški Grintovec,
- the Pelc mountain ridge,
- Ozebnik,
- Jalovec,
- Travnik.

In the valley, there is the lodge Koča pri Izviru Soče near the source of the Soča river.
