The artist Milan Obradović - Karp was born in 1948 in Ljubljana, but he lives and works in Izola. He is a self-taught painter and became painting after the 1978. In the last years he devotes all his time to painting. He works with oil paint on canvas, glass, and wood. He has had individual exhibitions in Domžale, Ljubljana, Škofija Loka, Koper, Portorož, Opicina, and Lugano. His pieces of work can be found not only in Slovenia, but also abroad in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, USA, Sweden, Netherlands, and Irland. If you visit his studio at Ljubljanska Street you will notice richly colored scenes from a quasi-real coastal town where the line between the real and surreal vanishes in mysterious stories.
