Day 1: Arrival and accommodation. Walking or bicycling in the immediate surroundings. Dinner.
Day 2: A drive to Kostanjevica, a stroll through the old city core, visits to the Božidar Jakac Gallery and Kostanjevica Cave. Drive to Šentjernej and visit the Pleterje Carthusian Monastery and its open-air museum. In the evening, a Dolenjska dinner.
Day 3: Tour of Novo mesto and the Chapter Church, the Dolenjska Regional Museum, which among other interesting exhibitions has an exceptionally rich archeological collection, and the old city core. Tour of Mirna River Valley: Mokronog (Žalostna gora)–Šentrupert (Vesela gora)–Mirna (castle, gallery)–Trebnje, Gallery of Naïve Art–Stična, monastery, museum, and church.
