 The Solčava yew tree

 Approximately 180 meters above Solčava, by a solitary farm on a narrow forest ridge grows the biggest yew tree in Slovenia. The tree has a girth of 240 cm and the height of 9 m. Its age has been estimated to over 500 years. Due to its exceptional dimensions, the yew has been proclaimed a natural monument.
