There are guided tours of the museum and gallery collections if you give notification of your arrival in advance; children's workshops are also organised as well as concerts and lectures for adults.  Today the castle houses the Kamnik Museum with its permanent collections (Thone's Furniture, the People of Kamnik in the 19th century) and temporary exhibitions. Under the arcades of the entrance building is the lapidary and in front of the castle is the park with granaries from the valley Tuhinjska dolina from the 18th and 19th centuries.
