The War Museum in Logatec is the smallest museum of its kind in Slovenia, but the richness of its material is exceptional. It presents the military history of the Slovenes and Slovene territory from the stone axe through the Celtic and Roman periods, the Middle Ages, and the World Wars to the war for an independent Slovenia and the development of the modern Slovene army. A special feature of the museum is the collection of more than 2,800 military decorations from around the world.
