Da Vinci – The Genius, the largest exhibition on Leonardo da Vinci to tour the world, consists of more than 200 exhibits, including machine inventions crafted according to Da Vinci's designs, replicas of his works of art, and numerous interactive demonstrations.

Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), a painter, sculptor, inventor, scientist, musician, architect, philosopher and expert in biology and anatomy, is considered to be the quintessential Renaissance man and one of the most all-round geniuses of all time. Born out of wedlock and thus not afforded a formal education, he was a self-taught man acquiring his knowledge through experimentation.

Apart from an outstanding body of artistic work, Da Vinci left behind conceptual designs for numerous fascinating inventions such as the precursors of the modern bicycle, car, helicopter, parachute, submarine and military tank as well as designs for an ideal city, to name just a few.

The Da Vinci – The Genius exhibition may not include Da Vinci's originals, but nevertheless it gives an unrivalled insight into his world. Among the exhibits you will find replicas of several of his paintings, including the famous Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, 3D animations explaining how the paintings were created, machine inventions crafted according to his designs, facsimiles of his designs, a presentation on his life and times, interactive presentations of his works and much more.
