The National Costumes and Clothing Heritage Days festival, held in the old town centre of Kamnik, includes costumed processions featuring folk costumes of various regions of Slovenia and other countries.

The festival, first held in 1966, has a long history of drawing attention to heritage clothing and emphasizing the importance of respect for national costumes as part of cultural heritage. Due to its high quality programme, it has been listed among the international festivals under the patronage of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Art (CIOFF).
