 A memorial symbol in Gornje Laze In the village Gornje Laze, 10 minutes drive from Semič, stands a landmark dedicated to the fallen combatants of the 1 st Bela krajina troops, founded on October 28 th, 1941 on Smuk. In the memory of the National Liberation Front and the fallen combatants, the residents of Semič mark this day a municipal celebration.
