The bike route »Land of disappearing lakes« leads us through the Javornik mountain to the Pivka area, where the land is more open and bleak. On the route we pass over forest to the country, that reminds us of Istra. Besides little villages, that look like they are not from the present time, and numerous churches, the land inspires mostly with its disappearing lakes. The most known are the Petelinjsko and the Palško lake, that are perfect spots also for bird and wildlife watching. On the bike route we have a chance also for horse-riding at the Prestranek castle, fishing on the Pivka river or taking a panoramic flight from the sport airport close to Postojna. Cycling track is on of the 10 tracks in MTB park Notranjska.
