Aljažev dom v vratih mountain hut, Savska 1, Mojstrana, mountains hut alps cottage hiking alpine shelter, The hut is located at the edge of a a clearing in the upper part of the valley Vrata. It is named after Jakob Aljaž (1845-1927), the Triglav priest from Dovje, the composer and mountain writer, who has great merits for the development of Slovenian mountaineering. There are 90 seats in two restaurant areas, a bar counter, at the tables in front of the hut there are 110 seats, there are 8 rooms with 23 beds, 115 communal beds, and in the winter room 4 beds and a cooker; toilets and washing rooms in all facilities; the two restaurant parts are heated by stoves, running water, telephone. From September 2003 Aljažev dom hut has the electricity. The view There is a marvellous view from Aljažev dom mountain hut on the mountains and peaks which surround the Vrata Valley, the view on the north wall of Triglav is the most beautiful. Towards the east rise the walls of Cmir, on the south side the walls of Begunjski vrh, and on the right one can see the peak of Triglav above the wall Triglavska stena. From the monument the whole Upper Vrata Valley to the wall Triglavska stena and the Luknja Pass between Triglav and Pihavec can be seen. On the west there are steep slopes of Stenar, Dolkova špica, Škrlatica and Rokavi; towards the north there are the walls of Dovški križ, Škrnatarica and Kukova špica on the west side of the valley, and on the east side the slopes of Črna gora covered by woods. Access Car: a local, partly asphalt road from Mojstrana to the hut 12km. The BS Mojstrana, Na Logu v Trenti: from Mojstrana 2h30; from Log through Zadnjica and across Luknja 5h. From July until September there is the bus from Mojstrana to Vrata on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Interesting tours  the Triglav museum collection in the homestead Jozelnova hiša on the road Triglavska cesta 50 in Mojstrana, the museum is open from June until September, in other months by reservation; one can see the Peričnik Waterfall on the way from Mojstrana to Vrata; the monument dedicated to the Partisans - mountaineers who died in war 10 minutes; Triglav (2864 m) across Luknja and along the secured path across Plemenice 6 to 7h (other accesses at Triglav mountain huts); Škrlatica (2740 m) past the Bivak IV (Bivouac IV) Na Rušju and through Zadnji Dolek 5 do 6h; Stenar (2501 m) across the Vrata Pass 4h30.
