The Slovenian Tourist Board has given great importance and role to innovations in tourism for many years. Thus, since 2004, those who contributed the most to innovation in Slovenian tourism were presented with the Sejalec award for the best realised innovative tourist products in Slovenia. In 2009, the Snovalec award was introduced in addition to the Sejalec award, with which the most promising tourist ideas are financially and promotionally stimulated.
