At an elevation of 1557 m, The Rogatec is a high pre-Alpine mountain, famous for its rich geological structure. Due to the isolated position of this mountain, the view from its top is extraordinary - you can observe not only the Kamniško-Savinjske Alps, but also the Ljubljana Basin, the Zasavje Mountain Range and the Smrekovško Mountains.

Together with its ridges, the Rogatec forms a watershed between the Lučka and Gornjegrajska Basin. The hiking track in the direction from Kal in the south is very difficult. It is easier to access the peak from the Špeh farm.
