In the middle of Stranice, next to the church and a chapel and not far from the forest, is the Arzenšek farm. This is a genuine farm with horses, cows, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, and bees. It's a real little zoo that city children marvel at, and the farm is especially full in summer with returning guests.
Meat, milk, and vegetables are produced on the farm, the bread is homemade, and everything is complemented with homemade wine and blackberry brandy. The pumpkins are a specialty: in compotes, stewed, roasted, in pies . . .
With so many animals, there is always enough work to join in on the farm. Not far away are the swimming pools of the Zreče Health Resort, there are numerous trails through the forests below Pohorje, and the ski slopes of Rogla are only 19 kilometers away. Guests can borrow fishing gear at the farm, and the catch prepared later with the help of the hostess.
