The Gabrijanovi farm is situated near forests and vineyards only 500 meters from the Kolpa River. Although tourists have only recently begun to discover the beauty of this region of Slovenia, Mira Gabrijan knows very well what her guests like best and dishes up a mixture of classical and traditional foods, which include lamb or suckling pig on a spit with homemade bread, gibanica for dessert, local red or white wine, and walnut, plum, or blueberry brandy. The main attraction of the region is the Kolpa River, where guests can go swimming, fishing, or boating in a canoe rented at the farm. The farm also has bicycles available, table tennis, and a children's playground and swings. The museum of domestic crafts and the Wine Road can be explored on foot, and a short drive will take you to the nearby ski slopes or the Dolenjske Toplice Health Resort.
