Restaurant Avsenik (Pri Jožovcu), which is located in the village of Begunje, has been run by the famous Avsenik music family since 1865. Slovene popular folk music enthusiasts will enjoy the concerts and events held in the Under the Avsenik Umbrella hall. The Avsenik family also has a range of accommodation on offer or you can pay a visit to the Avsenik Museum.

This family-run restaurant is located in the house where Slavko Avsenik was born, whose descendants still successfully manage the restaurant today. Apart from its classic dishes, the inn also serves others, the names of which are linked to Avsenik music. These include the Avsenik jubilee platter, the Avsenik umbrella, the Shepherd's meal and the Košir goulash. Avsenik's restaurant organises twice-weekly concerts by renowned Slovene and foreign popular folk music ensembles. During the summer evenings, the garden’s horse chestnut trees lend it a pleasant coolness.
