Set in the middle of meadows beside the forest, the Pri Kovačniku farm has a beautiful view of the slopes of Pohorje, Donačka gora, and Boč. Vegetables, meat, dairy products, fruit juices - everything is available at the Šterns. Angelca provides authentic local dishes including lunches with all types of meat, various side dishes and vegetables, homemade pork items, cold cuts, minced lard, pate, and homemade bread, and she is particularly famous for her Pohorje-style cheese or walnut gibanica.
In winter, skiers come to the farm, and you can borrow a sled to try the sled run on the farm. Hiking shoes are a must in summer, and the family can advise you on where to find and collect mountain herbs. You can drive to the swimming pools in Maribor and Ptuj, explore the area by bicycle, or enjoy outdoor games in the meadow.
