The Carthusian monks built the present manor in Oplotnica between the years 1621 and 1631. The manor was an important economic centre of the Carthusian monks. The rooms were once well equipped and very luxurious. The most famous is the Baroque chapel with a splendid stucco on the ceiling. The stucco is the most quality work of this kind in Styria and is connected with the crypt of the emperor Ferdinand II. that is in the cathedral in Graz. The stucco in Oplotnica is very similar to the one in Graz.
