The oldest house in Železniki - Plnada, is also one of the most important ironwork houses built in the late 16th century or in the beginning of 17th century. Its name came from Italian locality Palmanova, where the Italian owners came from. Its design and artistic execution took their pattern from the Homan house in Škofja Loka (round corner balcony with the same motives). Quality architectural integrity is created by the building with its mill, Venetian saw, and drying-frame.
