Motorboats and yachts represent a significant proportion of nautical tourism in Slovenian waters. Motorboats are available for hire in Koper, Portorož and Izola to holders of the appropriate licence. These towns also have modern marinas where you can refuel. Refuelling stations are also available on the public jetties in Piran and Izola. Izola has a Yacht Centre where technical repairs can be carried out. Every year, Portorož and Izola host the important international boat shows Internautica (Portorož) and the Izola Boat Show (Izola).
