A large cluster village Divača, the largest settlement and seat of municipality, is an important traffic crossroads (for railway and road). Already in the past there were a lot of inns in which furmani were stopping. In old Austria it was an important crossroads of railway from Vienna to Trieste from where it branched to monorail to Pula and Koper. Divača developed in the beginning of the previous century thanks to the railway. On the railway station there is a steam locomotive which has a historical value. The village church of St. Anton stands in constructed paddock with one of the most beautiful pilaster entrances on Karst which dates from the year of 1728. On the NW Divača is surrounded by mountain Vremščica (1027 m), which is a popular destination for hikers and is also known for homemade sheep’s cheese. On the N it is surrounded by Čebulovica and world of Divača Gabrk. The surroundings hide numerous Karstic caves and precipices: Kačna cave (the most wild romantic abyss of the world), Divača cave, Koševa cave, precipices Risnik, Radvanj, Bukove doline, Krgunci,…

Automobiles : At the crossroad of main roads Ljubljana-Koper and Ilirska Bistrica-Sežana-Lokev. And along highway Ljubljana-Koper at exit Gabrk and turning for Sežana and Italy.
