A dispersed settlement on the southern slope of Ramšakov vrh and Temnjak between the Pirešica valley, Paški Kozjak, Velenje and Dobrna. The nucleated hamlet of Vas also belongs to the town. The creek Temnjaški potok flows along the eastern part and Šentjanški potok along the western (there used to be numerous famous mills along both of these in earlier times). Janškovo selo has besome urbanized, with a number of new, one-family worker’s houses.
