Lozice is the first village in the Vipava Valley. It has a bit more than 200 inhabitants and lies 228m above the sea. It is a scattered settlement through which the strem Močilnik flows. In the north it is surrounded by Nanos with Debeli Vrh, in the southeast by the wooded, hilly area of Vrha with Pasji rep.

SIGHTS: In Lozice there are still many old farms that are cultural monuments. In the Church of St. Francis Xavier, a typical example of the Karst Renaissance, one can admire a Baroque altar with a painting of Holy Virgin Mary the Sad by A.Fayern.
It takes bit less than an hour to get from Lozice to the Church of St. Magdalene, which was first consecrated in 1496.
