 Brod und Savica lie under the mountain Rudnica, which used to be full of iron ore, which was worked into iron in both villages. In Savica there is a blacksmith`s workshop with its old hammer the crazy, which still serves its purpose. In Brod there is house in which a Bohinj writer and solicitor Janez Mencinger was born.
Automobiles : Through Bohinjska Bistrica we drive in direction to Bohinj lake and after a kilometer we turn to Brod from the main road. The other possibilty through the village Savica over the Sava Bohinjka bridge. The village Savica lies directly by the main road.
Railway : By train to Bohinjska Bistrica and further on by bus from Ljubljana or by local bus. Bus : All line buses from and to Ljubljana run through the village Savica.
