Automobiles : 5 km from Bohinjske Bistrice to the bridge and St.John`s church at the end of the lake and another 5 km to the beginning of the lake - the outflow of the river Savica.
Railway : By train to Bohinjska Bistrica and further on by bus to both sides of the lake. Ship : Tourist boat Bohinj takes you to the other side of the lake - to Ukanc and back. No vehicles allowed : Along the road or other paths by bike; on foot along the walkin path south or north side of the lake.
